Planet POV

Planet POV (Point of View) – Your Insights, Your Actions is a school engagement programme for youths aged 13 to 17 that introduces local sustainability efforts through hands-on workshops, dialogues, and activities, encouraging participants to take meaningful action beyond the programme.

About the Programme

Working with schools and students over the years, we've seen that sustainability engagement varies — often due to unequal access to resources.

To create lasting momentum, sustainability education must reach students early, as they form their own perspectives. This programme complements the curriculum with a hands-on, locally focused approach.

Programme Reach

Since the programme began, it has engaged over 1,050 students from 16 schools, contributing to a growing total of 1,900 participant hours to date.

Programme Highlights

Planet POV introduces students to real-world sustainability issues — from waste streams and nature-based topics to skills in sustainability communication and green career awareness. Sessions are delivered by Green Nudge and fully supported by UNIQLO Singapore.

Threads & Tech: An Orchard Trail

Past Events

These past workshops gave students and community members practical sustainability skills and a clearer understanding of environmental issues, encouraging action in their communities.

Fabric Upcycling Workshop with Singapore Chinese Girls School

Students from the Environment Club (Secondary 1 to 4) explored fashion waste in Singapore and upcycled old t-shirts into tote bags — a fun, hands-on way to promote sustainability and creative reuse.

Plastic Upcycling Workshop with Woodgrove Secondary School

Students learnt about Singapore’s plastic waste challenges before hands-on activities. They created ecobricks from soft plastics and made recycled keychains by melting hard plastics, combining practical skills with deeper knowledge of plastic reuse.

Orchard Trail with Woodlands Secondary School

School leaders and ambassadors joined a 2-hour sustainability trail around Orchard Road, exploring fashion’s evolution and sustainable practices like thrifting and repairing. The trail included a behind-the-scenes visit to UNIQLO, where they made fabric keepsakes for the SG60 Community Gift project, part of an overseas exhibition.

EcoFest Kayak Waterway Cleanup with Public

Members of the public aged 13 and above joined a two-session kayak event to collect litter and debris, helping keep waterways clean. An educational session explained litter sources, its effects on marine life, and common local creatures.

Marine ConservAction with Pei Hwa Secondary School

Selected Secondary 2 students took part in a coastal cleanup as part of their sustainability project. Alongside collecting litter, they learnt about marine debris sources and impact, and explored local marine life through visuals and intertidal artefacts.

4-Pillar Sustainability Talk with Kranji Secondary School

We conducted a 4-Pillar Sustainability sharing with half of the Secondary 1 cohort, focusing on key themes: Nature (Singapore’s rainforests and mangroves); Water (marine pollution and wildlife); Climate (causes and impacts of climate change); and Textile Waste (fabric waste and sustainable solutions).

Hear From The Students

Check out how students reflected on “How do you envision a sustainable future?” through creative drawings, poems, and more! This activity revealed their understanding, sparked new ideas for environmental challenges, and revealed their personal views on key sustainability topics.

Forget hearsay — here's what our clients truly have to say about working with us:

Our Kindy made the right decision in collaborating with Green Nudge on our project
on the 'Sentosa Marine ConservAction' programme. We brought all our
preschoolers, aged between 3 to 6 years old, for a beach cleanup yesterday. The
parents, teachers, and children were well pleased with the services provided by the
team of staff passionate about sustainability and their ability to connect with our
children. They enjoyed the activity tremendously and, above all, the learning was
meaningful. Keep up the good work, Li Seng, Debra, and staff of Green Nudge!
