The jobs and challenges of tomorrow require skills – transferrable ones.
Through internships, we provide real work experience for youths (and mid-career joiners) to learn and gain skills (in areas like business development, communications and marketing or research); explore career options and hopefully sink your roots into a green collar career.
Look out for our internship calls held around February or November each year.
We start young – students studying at tertiary institutions as well as young working adults are welcome to apply. No prior experience is required.
Working in a small team means one must be open to learning new skills and comfortable with changes. Successful candidates are independent learners with a can-do spirit.
We expect our interns to serve:
3 months if working full-time; or
6 months if working part-time (i.e. 2 days a week)
"I am very privileged to be able to embark on an internship with Green Nudge. During this stint, the unexpected happened: Covid-19. The pandemic threw a spanner into the works and we were not able to carry out our usual group activities, namely beach cleanups, and workshops. Nonetheless, my experience was still engaging and meaningful. The team at Green Nudge are great mentors and they guided me at every step of the way. Whenever I had any queries, the team would explain and analyse the situation WITH me (and not FOR me). I am really grateful for their help in creating this enriching and insightful experience for me."
Brian Lee, Intern (Feb - May 2020)
"My experience with Green Nudge has brought me to the frontlines of creating environmental change on an individual and systemic level. I was given countless opportunities to meet with different stakeholders within the environmental sector and learned practical skills ranging from events management, sales to marketing. More than that, the ever-changing dynamics in a growing social enterprise constantly challenges one to adapt and grow - it is absolutely exhilarating working here. The authentic and driven team creates a conducive environment where you are constantly empowered to support and create changes. They always go the extra mile to ensure your opinions are heard, taken seriously and making sure that your experience is a fulfilling one!"
Esther Lee, Intern (Nov 2019 - Jan 2020)
"Despite it being my first internship, I was given opportunities to try numerous new things. The nurturing environment assured me that mistakes are nothing but learning points for improvement and to get better at something would mean to try it for the first time. This eased my fear of failure and with better willingness to try meant having more confidence in my work. I am grateful for the enriching and surreal experience. As I venture onto my next destination, it’s heartwarming to know that I can always call Green Nudge home."
Edric Wee, Intern (Mar - Jul 2021)
"It is a privilege to be deeply involved in a start-up to see all its moving parts, and have my work directly impact Green Nudge’s future operations. I’ve observed how start-ups must roll with the punches and adapt to stay relevant, especially through the pandemic. This opportunity has taught me to take initiative in my own projects and reach out to colleagues!"
Kaezeel Yeo, Intern (May - Aug 2021)
